There are many types of Farali Vada recipes during fasting. Here you can find the easy steps to making “Sabudana Vada”. It is one of the delicious dishes which like most people during fasting.

Raw materials are required for making Sabudana Vada

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups Sabudana
  • 4 nos. Potatoes Medium Size
  • 6 nos. Green Chili
  • 2 inch Ginger
  • 2 tsp Rock Salt or as required.
  • 1  tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 cup Peanuts
  • 3 nos. Curry Leaves
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
  • Vegetable Oil - as required
  • 1 tsp Sugar Powder
  • 1/2 no. Lemon

Saoked Sabudana and boiled potatoes are use for Farali Vada

Step-wise Method To Make Farali 'Sabudana Vada' recipe at home.

Wash Sabudana properly and soak in a water bowl; water level more than Sabudana’s level,(soak for 5 hours).


After 5 hours drain all water from Sabudana and put all Sabudana in one big dish.


Wash all potatoes and boil them in the cooker with pressure cook for 5 whistles at high flame. Then Switch off the flame. 


Roast all peanuts, and grind all peanuts until smooth.

After settling down the heat of the cooker itself, open the lid of the cooker and remove all potatoes' skin, put all potatoes in another vessel, and grate all potatoes.


Cut all 5 green chilies, Ginger pieces, Coriander Leaves, and Curry Leaves into very small pieces.

Sabudana Vada's Mixtures are made to make Farali Vada
Add all ingredients along with grated potatoes into Sabudna and mix all ingredients properly.

Now, firstly make raw Sabudana Vada as shown in the picture.
Raw Sabudana Vada are made from mixtures of Soaked Sabudana and grated potatoes.
Secondly, take frying pan over medium flame gas, add required oil for frying, and after heating oil start to fry Sabudana Vada only in three-four quantities every time. (take large quantities of Sabudana may break it)

Deep fried Sabudana Vada are ready to serve and it will eat along with farali chutney also.
Sabudana Vadas are ready to serve as shown in the picture.
